I DIDN'T GROW UP LEARNING ABOUT MONEY. BY THE TIME I WAS ON MY OWN AT 20, I WAS ALREADY LEARNING THE HARD WAY.
Financial literacy wasn't a conversation in my household. At 18, I got my first credit card and did what a lot of people do — I damaged my credit before I ever understood how it worked. My one expensive lesson? A Katana flip phone from Sprint that I couldn't even pay for. Lol. Live and learn.
As I got older, I saw clearly how those early mistakes were holding me back. So I did the obvious thing — I hired a credit repair company. They billed me every single month and barely lifted a finger. Frustrated, I decided to learn the process myself. And I did. I repaired my own credit, from the ground up.
That same pattern repeated when I launched my first business and hit a wall with funding. Instead of folding, I taught myself how to build a business credit profile and leverage other people's money to grow.
With a background in sales and years of friends and family constantly asking me for help, one thing became impossible to ignore: people don't just need their credit fixed — they need to understand it. After years of advising on the side, I went into business for myself and founded AJE Capital.
We offer done-for-you credit repair and business funding. But the real mission is bigger than that: to educate as many people as possible and raise financial literacy in my community and across the board.
